CommuniGate Systems said its scalable communications platform has connected the airline's 30,000 frontline employees via e-mail, providing access to internal messages and time-critical updates for the mobile workforce, whether they are at the headquarters, on the ramp or away from base.
CommuniGate Pro is standards-based, offers a Unified Communications platform able to support implementations from five to 50m users and flexible architecture options and allows customers to deploy their preferred hardware and operating systems.
British Airways is using CommuniGate Pro's Dynamic Cluster architecture, advanced clustering technology with no single point of failure, providing 99.999% uptime and allowing the airline to add notes for capacity or perform change management without operational impact. The deployment included a unified @ba.com e-mail account for all British Airways employees.
According to CommuniGate Systems, the solution unlocks e-mail from the desktop, allows users to access company e-mail from any web browser and enables British Airways to ensure its brand remains consistent across the ESS toolset.
The CommuniGate Pro Enterprise Suite includes the Pronto! unified communications dashboard and is priced from USD849 for 25 users, for installations over five users.
