The contest starts with a 4-month long recruitment phase for small business owners and business decision makers. All entrants will receive a free 5-part online video training workshop to give owners some initial first-steps to improve their businesses. Entrants will submit their information along with a 500 word essay explaining their issue, situation, or need in taking their business to the next level. From those entrants, fifteen semi-finalists will be selected in April. The semi-finalists receive two more online training and wealth-building courses and tickets to a two-day workshop, and then must produce a 15 minute video essay. In July, two winners are chosen and will start working one-on-one with business experts for 120 days of consulting as well as admission, resort accommodations and food expenses at the Maui Mastermind Wealth Retreat in Hawaii ($30,000 in value) along with $5000 in cash.
