Unprecedented Use of Technology Makes the DNC the Most

Accessible Interactive Convention Ever

on the '92 and '96 Democratic Conventions, is providing system and content design services to create E-mersion style coverage that will give the American public accessibility and participation that is not achievable via traditional broadcast, it was announced by Tom Gorman, DNCC Director of Production.

FRESH will sort through the myriad of technologies and vendors available to

achieve the Democrats' communication goals. The projects encompass the creation of a Digital Stills Gallery available to all media, Multiple Stream Webcasts, Interactive Web events, Web Video on Demand, a Video Projection Wall and gavel to gavel coverage via a Hi-Def and NTSC camera pool via the Democratic Television Network.

The result will be an E-Convention that for the first time ever will be streamed live over the Internet, feature interactive chat and deliver the message of the Democratic Party across more media than any other Convention.

"At the first Democratic Convention of the 21st Century, we are excited to be partnering with many cutting-edge technology companies to bring live footage of the 2000 Democratic Convention into the homes of millions of Americans via the Internet," said DNCC CEO Lydia Camarillo.

FRESH is also the official "Digital Stills Distribution Platform" and along with partner Grand Vitesse Systems, has created an online Digital Stills Gallery to capture, sort, browse and distribute digital stills. This on-site technology will be accompanied by a special DNCC Web site browser, that will allow photo-editors and Web masters from around the world to select and download appropriately formatted images. The service offers pre-packaged stills and high-resolution images captured daily by the digital cameras of official Convention photographers, and from the high-definition television pool covering the event.
