NASHVILLE, Tenn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 27, 2000

TappedInto.com has joined forces

with Greenpeace International. The Nashville, Tennessee based Internet company is now the official media partner for broadband streaming on the World Wide Web. TappedIntoGreenpeace.org launches today with both archived footage and the Web premiere of six short animated videos on environmental themes produced by European film/video college students for MTV.

The six videos are part of a series of eighteen quirky, humorous spots and often bizarre combinations of sound and image are being broadcast on MTV and streamed via website http://www.tappedintogreenpeace.org. They draw attention to the major environmental threats of the 21st century - from nuclear pollution and climate change to overfishing and the destruction of forest habitats.

Brian Fitzgerald, Information Technology Director of Greenpeace International, was first introduced to TappedInto.com through their Webcasting of the World Trade Organization Summit in Seattle last November. "TappedInto.com provided a worldwide audience the opportunity to witness events in Seattle as if they were there- unfiltered and unedited," recounts Fitzgerald. "That's an important thing for Democracy. It's also a good fit with one of the founding philosophies of Greenpeace, which is the concept of bearing witness to injustice. We believe that the World Wide Web has vast potential to expose environmental crimes, and to give people everywhere the choice, the opportunity, and the tools to act in stopping those abuses."

"We are extremely proud of this new relationship," states Judith Newby, Vice President of TappedInto.com. "The opportunity to provide streaming video for the Greenpeace community is a privilege. Our experience and technological savvy with `new century' broadcasting capabilities guarantees that thousands of concurrent users can connect and enjoy superior audio/video quality and clarity in both broad and narrow bandwidth."

TappedInto.com is a privately held Nashville-based Internet company that has successfully built a network of content-rich channels that broadcast streaming multimedia programming on the Web. The company continues its rapid growth with a diverse community of intellectual and entertainment interests including: TappedIntoTheEarth, TappedIntoTravel, TappedIntoMedicine, TappedIntoMusic, TappedIntoEntertainment, TappedIntoSports, TappedIntoMoney, and now TappedIntoGreenpeace.

"Along with high-lighting the many Greenpeace missions, our plans also include on-demand viewing of the vast Greenpeace video library 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, with continuous archiving of ongoing events," explains TappedInto.com President David Perdue. "TappedIntoGreenpeace.org will be a dynamic, ever-changing channel with top quality, full-motion streaming video. Viewers can tap into new information and learn ways to help make a difference in their communities and around the world."
