TelSurf.Teoye Delivers Personalized Audio Internet Content, E-mail,

and Calendar Over the Telephone, Accepts Signups Now

In a move that extends its award-winning voice portal technology to the rapidly growing Spanish speaking population, TelSurf Networks Inc., a private voice-activating software company, today announced TelSurf.Teoye(R), North America's first Spanish voice portal service.

TelSurf.Teoye(R), along with TelSurf's other multilingual voice portal services and technologies, are private-branded for wireless carriers, ISPs, portals and enterprises to enable them to extend their content and services to anytime, anywhere, any device access.

Patent-pending and fully voice-activated, TelSurf.Teoye(R) enables Spanish speaking callers to access key Internet-sourced audio content and messaging services through a single phone number. Users can sign up for the service at www.telsurf.teoye.com or, for those who do not have PC access, in California sign up over the phone at 1-866/888-SURF (7873); outside of California, call 1-818/874-1283.

TelSurf.Teoye(R) provides callers with a rich complement of voice-activated information, communications and entertainment -- fully integrated e-mail, PIM (Personal Information Management), calendar, address book, news, stock quotes, weather, sports scores, movie reviews and dramas, as well as horoscopes, book reviews, and jokes. TelSurf.Teoye(R) also includes voice-activated dialing and telephone access to Spanish-language Internet radio stations and can merge multiple existing e-mail accounts.

TelSurf.Teoye(R) callers navigate by speaking a variety of Internet requests in Spanish, such as "Lea Mensajes" (read messages), "Noticias Financieras" (finance news), "Agenda" (calendar), "Marcacion por Voz" (voice dialing), "Mi TelSurf" (My TelSurf) and many more. TelSurf.Teoye(R) responds with Internet-sourced content presented in an easy-listening audio format.

The service is completely voice-activated, enabling hands-free use with no keypad navigation, all without a modem, PC or Internet Service Provider (ISP). TelSurf.Teoye(R) allows for mixed Spanish-English in many commands, and accepts certain North American Spanish colloquialisms. The service can also pre-filter e-mail text languages and distinguish between English and Spanish, and then read the email in the appropriate language dialect.

"The launch of the TelSurf.Teoye(R) showcase technology further illustrates TelSurf's lead in developing voice-activated systems and solutions that empower customers," said Simon Lam, TelSurf founder and president.

"The modular Teoye(R) system is designed for integration with wireless carriers, ISPs, portals and enterprises needing to add multilingual voice access to their current infrastructure," Lam said. "Customers can select from any of Teoye's functional components, request TelSurf Professional Services to develop custom dialogs and voice navigations, or create their own custom navigations and content using the TelSurf toolset template."

TelSurf.Teoye(R) requires no PC or Internet experience or even typing skills -- just talking and listening, the most natural interface. TelSurf Networks operates TelSurf.Teoye(R) as a showcase network to demonstrate its technology and functionality to prospective partners. The range of features serves as an example of some of the voice-activated functions TelSurf Networks can provide.

Listening to the Market

TelSurf.Teoye(R) is based on the company's award-winning Voice Gateway(TM) Technology. TelSurf launched the country's first voice portal with voice-activated information and e-mail more than a year ago, and the experience has proven invaluable in making TelSurf.Teoye(R) a premier service.

Voice-activated Internet access is a 21st Century hyper-growth market that industry analysts forecast to expand the Internet's reach tenfold. While 200 million people now access the Internet worldwide from a PC, more than 2 billion currently have telephony access but not Internet access. Worldwide Internet access is projected to grow to 600 million by 2004, with telephone access reaching some 5 billion during that same period. TelSurf services can increase Internet availability by up to a factor of 10. The Kelsey Group forecasts a $50 billion market for voice-activated goods and services by 2005; UK market researcher Ovum estimates the equipment market alone at $26 billion by 2005.
