The Web site presents a tool that any former freshman would envy, offering invaluable free access to the most detailed university database in existence and a platform for College Correspondents to become the voice of their university.
"We wish we would have had this resource when making our own decisions about college," said Spiers. "College students are the best and most underutilized resource for college information. We will continue to reach out to college students who are willing to help prospective students on every campus across the country."
A peer-driven, online information network, AskBeforeCollege.com enables college students to both raise awareness and funds for the charity or student organization of their choice by spending time answering high school students' questions about their university. Through this direct correspondence, high school students will Know Before They Go and be confident in their selected college before ever setting foot on campus.
Any college student may share their college experiences with high school students and work to raise money for their student group(s) by signing up at www.AskBeforeCollege.com and by providing their schools (.edu) email address. Student organizations and non-profit groups may submit their group for consideration via email or through the feedback form on the Web site.
AskBeforeCollege.com allows students to 'ask' rather than be 'told' about college, eliminating the 'second guess factor.' Students will already know they have selected the right school before ever setting foot on campus.
