A Merging Of It Powerhouses.

In what may become a trend in the worlds of computing power and global communications, EDS and MCI WorldCom recently announced a 10-year mutual outsourcing agreement, as well as the outright sale to EDS of MCI Systemhouse, an information technology services provider.

The deal, announced in February, calls for MCI WorldCom to outsource much of its information technology services to the Plano, TX-based IT giant. EDS, in turn, will contract the bulk of its global network to MCI Worldcom, which is headquartered in Jackson, MS.
