Quality Systems Inc. (NASDAQ:QSII) Monday announced that it has entered into a software licensing and development agreement with EagleSoft Inc.

Quality Systems plans to expand the system, modifying it to meet the needs of large dental groups as well as interfacing this charting system with QSI's practice management software.

The software is a time-saving tool for dentists, eliminating much of the need for hardcopy charting by hand. It includes a high-performance 32-bit Windows 95 software component that incorporates specific clinical information associated with tooth and perio charting, video image management, PSR results and patient education.

It maintains and records dentists' chart notes in both text and audio form. It assimilates all pertinent clinical information for a specific patient, and even a specific tooth. It also integrates digital X-ray software.

In addition, it can be integrated with components from the NextGen electronic medical records system developed by Quality Systems' recently acquired Clinitec International subsidiary.
