SAN DIEGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--July 22, 2002
Captiva Software Corporation, the market leader in enterprise information capture software, today announced a strategic partnership with Pyramid Solutions, one of the technology industry's leading software engineering and system integration companies.
The agreement enables Pyramid to provide a complete document management solution by integrating Captiva's FormWare(TM) with Pyramid's packaged applications software for government, financial institutions and manufacturing companies. The partnership has already produced initial customers, including the Kansas Department of Revenue, which will replace its current ICR/OCR system with FormWare to process all its 2002 tax filings.
"We are very pleased to announce this partnership with Pyramid Solutions, an innovator in the imaging and document management arena, especially in the accounts payable, financial and government markets," said Blaine J. Owens, Vice President of Worldwide Sales at Captiva. "By providing a complete data and document capture solution to Pyramid's end users, we can more rapidly grow our overall business and expand our market share."
The partnership provides customers with a single, cost-effective solution that unites Captiva's information capture products with Pyramid's applications, which provide appropriate content and data to the end user at the click of the mouse. The combined solution offers the easy, efficient and secure management of any type of critical business document or digitized data. This combination of imaging and document management allows scanned images, OCR and associated metadata to be exported from Captiva's FormWare to Pyramid's Line of Business systems -- initiating the business process by simultaneously capturing the original document and executing the workflow necessary to get the right information, to the right people at the right time.
"Pyramid provides an innovative, off-the-shelf suite of packaged workflow applications for loan processing, county and city court case management, vital records and accounts payable processing," said Mark Mehill, Director of Sales and Marketing at Pyramid. "We look forward to offering the expanded capabilities that Captiva's products bring to our customer base."
