today announced an integrated solution that provides medical offices with a seamless workflow environment for practice management, the dictation of clinical reports and the creation of medical records for individual patients using the latest voice recognition and workflow management technologies.

MedStar's Practice Management System (PMS) and Expresiv Technologies' Expresiv Enterprise/MD(tm) Product Suite communicate via a customized interface to automatically interchange data between the systems. Records reside in each patient's account, supporting diagnoses and providing billing documentation much more efficiently and profitably.

A unique identifier is assigned to each patient encounter that corresponds to a specific visit and facility. These unique identifiers index the complete clinical history of the patient. MedStar's PMS automatically inserts patient data into the visit document being dictated in the Expresiv Enterprise/MD system. This process ensures more accurate medical documentation while streamlining the end-to-end medical transcription process. Reports can be available in minutes rather than days, with minimal effort and expense.
