UC San Diego Selects TeleResults TX Transplant Database Software.

State-of-the-Art EMR Solution Will Empower Leading Transplant Center to Dramatically Enhance the Tracking and Management of Mission-Critical Data

SAN FRANCISCO -- TeleResults, a market leader in the design and development of electronic medical record (EMR) solutions for transplant-related care, today announced that the University of California at San Diego has purchased TeleResults TX to automate and streamline the flow and analysis of vital transplant-related data. The deployment of the TeleResults TX solution will enable the renowned institution to more easily adapt and respond to ongoing changes in UNOS policies and guidelines, while increasing staff productivity and improving the quality and continuity of patient care.

TeleResults TX is a robust, feature-rich technology application that enables transplant clinics to more effectively track patient information throughout the various stages of transplantation. From referral, diagnosis, and treatment, through post-transplant care and follow up, TeleResults can help eliminate cumbersome manual administrative activities, so medical providers can reduce operating expenses and allow their staff to focus their efforts on providing the most effective care possible.

UCSD is the third of five University of California hospitals to implement the TeleResults TX application. The large transplant program, which currently employs close to 90 full-time employees and practitioners and conducts over 150 transplants each year, chose TeleResults TX after a formal RFP process in which several vendors were evaluated based on stringent technical and business specifications.

"We were immediately impressed with the TeleResults solution," stated Alexander Aussi, Transplant Administrator at UCSD. "It was, by far, the most flexible application we looked at, and the only one that could address all of our needs in an efficient and affordable fashion."

"TeleResults TX will enable us to achieve more rapid information-sharing across the center by interfacing directly with other important systems in our environment, " Aussi continued. "Additionally, it will significantly enhance the integrity of our information by minimizing the number of errors that result from manual data entry, and allow us to generate progress reports with just a few clicks of the mouse. By better coordinating the way we manage and use our data, and reducing the amount of time spent on information administration, we can devote our resources to working towards our mission of offering unmatched patient care by serving as a leading academic medical center."

And, most importantly UCSD will leverage TeleResults TX's cutting-edge customization capabilities to achieve one of its most important objectives - ensuring rapid and effective compliance with changing regulatory guidelines, such as those mandated by UNOS and Medicare.

"We are pleased to be working so closely with such a well-respected member of the medical community," said Ghassan Khabbaz, Founder and President of TeleResults. "Our partnership with UCSD will give us yet another opportunity to deliver the kind of superior technology solutions that transplant centers need to successfully manage the large volumes of data generated by increasingly complex activities."
