ROCKVILLE, Md. -- Geisinger Health Plan (GHP) has successfully implemented the AMISYS Advance payer software system, the ninth ASI customer to go live on the system.
GHP, one of the country's largest not-for-profit rural HMOs, will process claims for more than 211,000 members using the enterprise-wide and functionally deep AMISYS Advance application. The application will support GHP's complete range of business, including claims adjudication, billing, enrollment, membership, and capitation processing.
"We relied on ASI a great deal during the implementation," said Bernie Huff, GHP's Vice President of Information Technology. "They provided excellent support during the transition."
Al Gain, ASI's Vice President of Technical Services, said that the alliance of the GHP and ASI teams enabled the migration of extensive amounts of custom code while implementing AMISYS Advance. This project was accomplished with unprecedented speed and accuracy.
"The dedication, experience and collaboration inherent within ASI and GHP's partnership led to a successful migration to AMISYS Advance," Gain said. "This is another example of solid business partnership in action."
GHP utilized ASI's Technical Services team for expert migration services, which included completion of environmental set-up services, data migration for core and custom databases, migration of custom code, and system capacity evaluation. ASI's Technical Services team also supplied on-site migration specialists to ensure GHP's successful implementation.
