And the Winners Are...

Now the fun begins. The two business winners of the BIG Business contest have been selected and are set to be transformed by the AllBusiness.com and Maui Millionaires business transformation team.

The two business winners, Premier Christian Cruises and Software Testing Solutions, are already on their way to becoming big companies. Yet both companies are grappling with the growing pangs every small to medium-sized business faces when it transitions to a bigger company. Handing over job responsibilities to staff that a business owner hopes is reliable, creating standardized systems and putting them in place, along with a host of other necessary development functions, is no small task.

Which is why these companies entered our contest. Premier Christian Cruises has grown significantly and hosts a number of highly successful Christian-oriented cruises. However, owner John Sanders admits to logging 70 hour workweeks, yet is reticent to hand off control to other people. John says his company has the ability to charter a cruise ship every month, yet he needs to put in place systems that allow greater efficiency for his company and reliable staff. John, you’re wish is our business development team’s command.

Software Testing Solutions is a bit different, being a company that provides software to hospitals. Jennifer Lyle’s company is also experiencing strong growth, with a 110 percent increase in revenue from last year to this year. She has five employees scattered throughout the country, but is looking to hire 20 more people by 2010 and increase her revenue to $10 million.
