Winners Announced for 2006 Tabbie Awards.

CLEVELAND -- The 2006 Tabbie Awards broke the previous year's record for entries, with almost 800 nominations in editorial and design categories. Entries came from the U.S., Canada, U.K., Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, Germany, India, Lebanon, Ireland, Singapore, and the United Arab

Emirates. Judges were impressed with the quality of submissions once again this year.

Highlighting the Best Single Issue category -- the competition's most comprehensive -- are entries from Legal Business, Builder, and Latin Finance, which took the Gold, Silver, and Bronze awards respectively. U.K.-based Legal Business also won the Best Single Issue Gold in 2005. The Top 25 of the Best Single Issue category include IEEE Spectrum, Latin Trade, Accountancy Age, Pursuit Magazine, Automotive News Europe, Construction Week, Network World, Instore, Engineering News-Record, CIO Insight, Indian Architect & Builder, ABA Journal, Executive Magazine, eatdrink Magazine, Wood Design & Building, and Business Insurance.

Gold design award winners are Digital Connect, for Front Cover, Digital Imagery and Table of Contents; CRN, for Opening Page or Spread and Front Cover, Special Issue; Legal Business, for Front Cover, Photograph; and InfoWorld, for Front Cover, Illustration.

Gold editorial award winners are Computerworld, for Editor's Column, News Coverage, Regular Column, and Technical Article; Transmission & Distribution World, for Focus/Profile Article; Vodaworld Magazine for Product Section; Tobacco Reporter, for Feature Article; Digital Connect, for Department; CIO, for How-To Article; and Builder, for Single News Article and Special Section.
