Three broadband vendors plan to launch Triarc Content Labs to independently develop, test and integrate Linux-based content and applications on Motorola Broadband's DCT-5000 line of set-tops.
The trio aims to speed time-to-market of new and interactive services using a Linux environment. The lab-brainchild of Motorola's Broadband Communications Sector, Metrowerks and Lineo--is slated for a mid-2002 launch.
