"Paradyne leads the existing DSU/CSU market by providing customers end-to-end solutions, embedded non-disruptive management, extensive diagnostics to pinpoint network troubles, bandwidth optimization and network restoral," said Scott Eudy, director of Paradyne's digital access products. "Our newest DSU/CSU offering adds affordability to this list. The 7112 offers today's network manager ease of installation, operation and management. At a list price of $1,195, the 7112 provides T1 and Fractional T1 access with SNMP Management at a price that meets or beats the competition. No one else offers this feature set at this price point."
Product Features
The 7112 unit is a single V.35 data port T1/FT1 DSU/CSU with a 10Base-T port for SNMP management traffic. The 10Base-T connection eliminates the necessity of having to use the router AUX port. The 7112 offers direct SNMP management and supports the standard and extended management objects that are applicable to T1 DSU/CSUs. When used in conjunction with Paradyne's DCE Manager, we are able to offer our customers a total solution for their networking needs. Paradyne's DCE Manager application provides a real-time view of network and device status. In addition to managing the 7000 series DSU/CSUs, the DCE Manager will manage all Paradyne SNMP devices. Paradyne's 7112 also supports Frame Relay networks at the remote site, which eliminates the need to purchase an external LAN adapter or the need to tie up the AUX port on the router. This saves money, because a router port or an external LAN adapter is not necessary.
