JERUSALEM--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 27, 2001

PalmPoint Limited, a subsidiary of Retalix Ltd. (Nasdaq:RTLX), today announced the signing of an agreement to implement its PalmOrder software application across the entire Guri Import and Distribution Ltd. sales network.

Guri is a multi-million dollar Israeli retail business that imports, distributes and merchandises a broad range of consumer health products, pharmaceuticals, grocery products, infant and baby products, detergents and toiletries, office supplies and paper products.

PalmPoint is a leading developer of mobile computing solutions for the retailer and supplier industry. The company offers software solutions that operate on pocket PCs and PDAs that use Windows CE and Palm OS operating systems, as well as cellular phones that support WAP and SHTML protocols.

After evaluating other mobile retailing solutions, Guri selected PalmPoint to upgrade their existing terminals, installing the company's PalmOrder Windows CE-based application. The software will enable Guri field representatives to take customer orders via a simple hand-held cellular communications device and transmit instantaneous data to a central server located at headquarters.

Following the installation, Guri's 50 field representatives will benefit from PalmOrder's robust functionality and online wireless communication to Guri's ERP system. The real-time information will provide Guri employees with a more efficient management tool for sales, inventory and logistics, resulting in an increase in the number of locations served.

Amos Guri, CEO of Guri Import and Distribution Ltd., commented, "We selected PalmPoint's PalmOrder software because with its broad functionality, it is the only off-the-shelf application that does not require customization. In addition, a major consideration for us was PalmPoint's ability to meet all our needs for product development and installation services."

"Guri's decision is acknowledgment of the value provided by PalmPoint's applications," said Retalix Ltd. president and CEO Barry Shaked. "The continued effort and focus towards the supplier sector is consistent with Retalix's e-marketplace strategy in providing solutions to both retailers and suppliers."

"We are particularly excited about our new relationship with Guri," said Moti Lippmann, CEO of PalmPoint. "Guri has confirmed, once again, the key advantages of PalmOrder over competing solutions -- comprehensive out-of-the-box functionality based on an open system architecture that runs on Microsoft's Windows CE operating system."
