SAIC AWARDED CECOM SOFTWARE ENGINEERING CONTRACT.

Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC) announced recently it is part of a team that has been awarded a contract to provide systems and software engineering support services to the U.S. Army Communications & Electronics Command's (CECOM) Software Engineering Center in Fort

Monmouth, N.J.

As a sub-contractor to Northrop Grumman Corporation, SAIC's Integrated IT Solutions Group will conduct the system software acquisition, software architecture and software technology tasks. SAIC estimates the potential value of its portion of this indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract at $172 million. The contract will be performed over a five-year base period and has five one-year options. SAIC's Telecommunications Technology Group and the Applied Software Systems Engineering Technology (ASSET) Group are also supporting this effort.
