RightNow Technologies has introduced version 4.0 of RightNow Web, its web customer service system.

Built upon RightNow's customer-driven dynamic knowledge base technology, the software is designed to enable companies to improve the quality and responsiveness of their web customer service while at the same time helping to reduce support expenses.

The new version offers improved customer response through the use of RightNow`s Smart Assistant technology, which enables companies to create context-sensitive help buttons and place them on any page within a site. Smart Assistant also provides customer support representatives with suggested responses to customer enquiries.

Other enhancements include a new user interface, new search capabilities and improved system management and report functionality.

RightNow Web 4.0 is available now. Pricing was not revealed.
