Lucent Technologies (NYSE:LU), a provider of systems, services and software for next-generation communications networks, announced on Tuesday (1 November) that it will supply KT, South Korean communications service provider, with a Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) solution to deliver services to businesses.

According to the company, the solution for KT includes Lucent Feature Server, platform delivering applications such as Hosted PBX, IP Centrex and Voice VPN, as well as the call recording server, presence server, proxy server and location-based server.

Lucent's VoIP solution will enable KT to offer IP-based features that can include interactive voice response, one-number calling and web-based integrated business features, as well as traditional business voice services, such as call forwarding and conference calling, the company claims.

No financial details of the agreement were disclosed.
