COMMACK - Nearly a year after Invision.com's President and CEO Tyler Roye named Scott Passeser as chief of its LIJobs.com subsidiary, the two have parted ways.

The terms on which he left his post Invision are unclear.

Passeser, who hosts Cablevision News 12's Job Line program, said he

left Invision about two weeks ago for an "unbelievable opportunity," but would not reveal where he is going or what he will be doing.

"I will be able to put my skills to use for something that can only be good for Long Island," he said. "I will be doing something that is going to help people."

When asked if his parting with Roye was amicable, Passesser responded, "According to me, I left on my own accord." He declined to comment further.

Roye had a different point of view, calling Passeser's departure a "dismissal."

Roye said he would comment further about the situation "in the near future."

In September of 2000, Passeser left his post as senior vice president of Millennium Technical Solutions, a technology staffing company, to head up LIJobs.com.

At that time, Roye said he hired Passeser because of his 20 years in the staffing industry and his exposure as host for 12 years of Job Line.

Passeser was one of three high profile hires by Invision last year. The company also brought on former Stratem.Connect-em president Richard Kruse and Technology Training Solutions founder Savio Chan.

Invision was honored earlier this month as an "Entrepreneur of the Year" by Ernst & Young for ebusiness.

LIJobs.com lists more than 2,000 local job openings. It recently broadened its job postings for high-tech companies such as Computer Associates and Symbol Technologies, to include jobs in industries such as health care, retailing, insurance, accounting and law.
