When your employees inappropriately use e-mail or the Web, your company can become liable for their conduct.
Set a strong technology policy that clearly defines the proper and improper uses of e-mail and Internet access, and lets employees know that violations of the policy can lead to disciplinary measures, including termination.
Let your employees know that nothing in any e-mail is considered private and that e-mail and Web usage is monitored or randomly audited.
