Software AG releases Linux compatible Adabas and Natural products.

CORPORATE IT UPDATE-(C)1995-2002 M2 COMMUNICATIONS LTD

Software AG, a system software and services company for enterprise data integration and management, has released its Adabas database and the Natural development system for the Linux open-source operating system.

Adabas is a database server designed for use by large and mission-critical business applications which require sub-second response times for thousands of users even in peak times, while Natural is a 4GL application development environment which supports both procedural and event-controlled programming.

A spokesperson for Software AG has stated that the initiative is part of the company's aim to make all of their products run on Linux by the end of 2002.

The cost of the two products has not been revealed.
