Lockheed Martin Corp., Fort Worth, Texas, is being awarded a
$23,500,000 (maximum) indefinite delivery/indefinite-quantity,
cost-plus-fixed-fee contract to provide for the Future Architecture
Concept for Information/Integration Technologies Program. This program
will develop, demonstrate and
integrate a broad range of technologies
that have potential applications within an embedded information
architecture. It will span the realm of information architectures
including embedded system architectures of manned and unmanned
platforms. This will include fighter, transport, space (manned and
unmanned), intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance platforms and
the overall command, control, communications, computers, intelligence,
surveillance and reconnaissance infrastructure architecture. At this
time, $100,000 of the funds has been obligated. The Air Force can issue
delivery orders totaling up to the maximum indicated above; actual
requirements may necessitate less than this amount. This work will be
complete September 2006. Solicitation was posted via a Program Research
and Development Announcement in March 2001, and three proposals were
received. Negotiations were completed in September 2001. The Air Force
Research Laboratory, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio, is the
contracting activity (F33615-01-D-1988).
