New IT association to boost industry, THE VIETNAM INVESTMENT REVIEW

IN its drive to become a modest yet significant regional force in
information technology, Vietnam unveiled a new association of software
developing firms last week.
The association, known as Vinasa, has 40 members so far, including
most of the country's biggest IT firms. Vinasa intends to have 150 member
firms by 2005.
Truong Gia Binh, director of FPT firm, a Vinasa member, said the
association would be a forum for software developing firms to grow as they
