A new name and address capture solution for customer service markets - such as automotive, retail and travel - has been unveiled by beCogent, a provider of outsourced contact centre services in the UK.

The solution is based on beCogent's beAssisted service offering and is intended to make it easier for consumers to complete standard functions such as registering for a brochure, or informing a company of a change of address.

beCogent combined the Verify customer data management system from software company Data Discoveries with speech recognition technology from Nuance, a speech and imaging solutions provider, to build the solution. It is speech-enabled and supported by beCogent's 1,400 live UK agents and as part of the beAssisted service, can be deployed in under four weeks.

beCogent said it offers the UK's first voice-assisted service to enable businesses to help customers 24/7 - callers are routed to the service required, while live agents can assist those that prefer not to use an automated service. The service enables customers to call at a time convenient to them, ensures name and address details are taken correctly at first contact and helps organisations to boost sales, brand recognition and customer loyalty.
