RealPulse.com, Inc. (d/b/a the REALM), the originator of the first Industry Operating System built for the commercial real estate industry, announced the release of reXML 1.0 (Real Estate specific Extensible Markup Language version 1.0), the data standard used for its new applications integration
reXML 1.0 was created to provide a standard XML-based representation of the data that can now be electronically transferred between property management and financial analysis applications. Version 1.0 includes data elements that are common to leading property management software systems (e.g. CTI, MRI*, Yardi*, and J.D. Edwards*) and leading financial analysis tools widely utilized by the real estate industry (e.g. ARGUS, DYNA and REALMBudget).
reXML 1.0 provides the commercial real estate industry with a standard integration path for moving data between software applications through the REALM's Internet-based Integration Hub. This technology provides users with seamless views of historic, current, and future cash flows under a variety of operating scenarios.
"reXML 1.0 is an open-source document," says Phillip Evanski, executive vice president of Product Development.
REALMx, the REALM's new integration service, enables the movement of data between real estate management and financial analysis software applications, releasing property owners, managers, and other stakeholders from the cost, time, and risk of comprehensive manual data entry. REALMx uses the REALM Integration Hub to authenticate users, route messages, and map data in a secure, controlled environment with appropriate back-up procedures.
reXML 1.0 is available on the REALM's website, www.therealm.com. The REALM is working with a variety of industry participants to further the development of the commercial real estate industry's XML standard including the DataConsortium which will be recasting reXML 1.0 into DataConsortium Namespace parlance
