Florida-based network security systems provider CyberGuard Corp has released CyberGuard Firewall v4.3 for UnixWare, the latest version of its firewall technology that forms the basis of the company's KnightSTAR appliance firewall product.
The new version has been designed to simplify the installation and management of a large number of firewalls, to make KnightSTAR better suited for the high-volume and high-performance needs of the large data centres run by web hosting companies and Internet and application service providers.
Enhancements include an ability to install and deploy the system in 30 minutes or less, an emergency mechanism that provides fast system recovery, simplified browser-based administration for remote supervision of multiple firewalls and enhanced firewall management and monitoring.
Pricing was not revealed. CyberGuard's KnightSTAR firewall product comes loaded with the technology.
