Cambridge, Mass.-based engineering software tool maker Invention Machine Corp. says its new European headquarters in Stockholm, Sweden, makes it the first conceptual product design software company to have a direct presence in Europe. The office will service existing international clientele, including Saab Scania, Ericsson, Tetra Pak and ABB, and will encourage global use of Invention's core product, IM Lab. The company will target international Fortune 1000 companies, offering software, training and consulting services. "Based on unprecedented growth, we felt it was time to expand. In this global economy, it is necessary to have an international presence," says Tom Lewis, president of Invention Machine.
