Inmark Development Corp. of Mountain View, Calif., has just released zApp, an applications framework designed to help programmers quickly and easily develop Microsoft Windows applications. According to company officials, zApp provides

"the functionality needed to create even the most complex Windows applications by encapsulating the Windows API into easy to use C++ objects." zApp can also be used with existing C code, providing object-oriented programming benefits during the enhancement of current applications.

zApp costs $195 per copy ($295 with source code) and requires no royalty fees. The program is compatible with the Zortech C++ compiler (version 2.18 and above) and the Borland C++ compiler (version 2.0 and above). According to Inmark CEO Howard Love, "The enthusiasm we are seeing from experienced Windows developers during our beta program is extremely gratifying. We're very excited about zApp's potential for this market. The creation of |real' Windows applications has been far too difficult, for far too long."
