Shareholders of Digital Research Inc. approved the company's aquisition by Novell last week. All outstanding shares of DRI stock were exchanged for three million newly issued shares of Novell common stock. DRI, which will operate as a wholly owned subsidiary, says DR DOS 6.0, the newest release of its operating system, has debuted with the best month of sales in the company's history. More than 165,000 copies were sold between Sept. 9 and Sept. 30. The Monterey, Calif., company also announced that CompuAdd Express, a major player in the computer mail order market, will bundle the DR DOS operating system with every PC it ships.
