Ashley Laurent firewall, NAT, VPN, and content filtering optimized
for use with Motorola's PowerQUICC and S1 processors
Ashley Laurent today announced the availability of its BroadWay Integrated Services Software(TM) (ISS) for the Motorola PowerQUICC(TM) integrated communications processors and S1 security processors.
Motorola's customers will be able to take advantage of a complete networking and security software package that has been specifically designed to take advantage of the advanced features of both processors.
Ashley Laurent's BroadWay Integrated Services Software (ISS) is a completely integrated security and service delivery software suite that features stateful inspection firewall, NAT, DHCP, IPSec VPN, content filtering software, and other advanced networking and security features. The software also provides access to Web-based managed services that can provide manufacturers a source of recurring revenue though Ashley Laurent's revenue sharing program.
Motorola's broad family of PowerQUICC(TM) integrated communications processors help enable network equipment vendors to deploy next-generation intelligent network services and reach the market quickly. The Motorola S1 family of security processors have glueless interfaces to Motorola's integrated processors, and accelerate all the algorithms required for wireline and wireless communications.
"The PowerQUICC and S1 chipset delivers a powerful, cost effective solution for secure communications," said Marc Cremer, director of global sales for Motorola's Networking and Computing Systems Group. "Motorola is dedicated to providing our customers with the most advanced networking and security solutions at both the silicon and software level. By working with BroadWay ISS software, our customers are able to leverage Ashley Laurent's expertise in the security software field with our expertise in silicon -- enabling them to deliver comprehensive, security-enabled solutions."
"With the addition of Motorola's PowerQUICC family of communications processors and S1 security processors, Ashley will provide an integrated solution in the OC-3+ range for IPSec encrypted traffic," said Scott Higgins, V.P. of Development for Ashley Laurent. "In addition, Motorola and Ashley Laurent are working together to provide BroadWay ISS support for a wide range of Motorola security chipsets targeting a variety of applications and performance levels."
