Lockheed Martin Corp., Fort Worth, Texas, is being awarded an
$8,213,000 (not-to-exceed) firm-fixed-price contract modification to
provide for the incorporation of the fiber optic high-speed data bus
(fibre channel) capability into the Peace Marble V radar system. This
includes the capability
to record quick reaction capability data in the
core avionics instead of in the radar. Basic capability includes group A
provisions on all Peace Marble V aircraft and the complete capability on
five aircraft. At this time, $4,106,500 has been obligated. This work
will be complete December 2003. This effort support foreign military
sales to Israel. The Aeronautical Systems Center, Wright-Patterson Air
Force Base, Ohio, is the contracting activity (F33657-99-C-2048,
P00026).
