The global usage share of the Internet Explorer (IE) 7 browser from software company Microsoft has reached 3.06% according

to OneStat.com, a provider of real-time web analytics.

OneStat said IE 7 is being used by 3.6% of all IE users at present, while the total usage of the IE browser has fallen 0.61% since the start of October 2006.

OneStat also revealed that Mozilla's Firefox 2.0 browser has a 2.38% global usage share, while Firefox 2.0 is being used by 19.5% of all Mozilla users at present. It stated that the total global usage share of Mozilla browsers is 12.15% at present, while total usage share of Mozilla browsers rose 0.66% since the start of October.

In addition the company said Apple's Safari browser accounts for 1.61% total global usage share, as it did at the start of October.

OneStat confirmed that the most used web browsers as of November 2006 are Microsoft IE (85.24%), Mozilla Firefox (12.15%), Apple Safari (1.61%), Opera (0.69%) and Netscape (0.11%).
