Princeton Server Group's "TV Station-In-A-Box" Powers Annenberg Channel's Transition to Digital.

PRINCETON, N.J. -- Princeton Server Group (PSG), a digital broadcast products company based in Princeton, New Jersey announced today that the Annenberg Channel has completed its transition to digital file-based broadcasting with the installation of PSG's B3000 Series Digital Video Broadcast Server.

Presented by Annenberg Media, the Annenberg Channel is a free satellite channel providing 24/7 educational programming for schools, colleges, libraries, public broadcasting stations, public access channels, and other community agencies. With PSG's B3000 Video Server, Annenberg now has a reliable video playout and scheduling system as part of a complete solution to manage and broadcast hundreds of hours of digital programming.

"We're excited to add Annenberg Media to the growing list of broadcasters who have transitioned to our digital, file-based broadcasting systems," said Jesse Lerman, CEO, Princeton Server Group. "We'll be powering the Annenberg Channel as well as the many PEG channels that downlink Annenberg programming into their own local lineups."

"Princeton Server Group was the ideal partner for our transition from legacy tape automation to digital file-based broadcasting," said Pete Neal of Annenberg Media.

"PSG offered the only true professional TV Station-in-a-box video server that was both reliable and affordable and could be easily programmed by Annenberg remotely across the web." The B3000 Digital Video Broadcast Server is hosted at the PBS satellite uplink facility in Alexandria, VA, and programmed remotely from the Annenberg Channel's offices in Cambridge, Mass.

"The B3000 will help us overcome programming limitations and significantly reduce our operational costs so we can focus on our core expertise: providing fresh educational programming to our audience," Neal added. "It was amazing to see the PSG single server solution replace our entire tape library and racks of equipment."
