Since appearing in Real Simple magazine this month I’ve had a lot of emails from women in business. It has been great meeting  so many mothers that are deciding to open their own businesses! Their ideas amaze me, as do their spirits. I wanted to spend this post pointing you in the direction of some of these great and inventive mothers. As you can probably tell, I’m a huge supporter (and fan) of mother owned companies, and I feel it is really important that we as mothers support other mothers as well. So, if you are looking for craft ideas, unique gifts, and other items, take a look at these sites!

Kids Play Central (www.kidsplaycentral.com) offers a variety of great resources for parents, including links that help mothers make connections with other mothers, ideas for crafts and travels, and a variety of parent resources.

Chic’z on the Go (www.chiczonthego.net)  is a company started by mothers who were tired of packing and unpacking their daughters' athletic bags. They offer a variety of great bags that include such items as hair bands, a brush, lip balm, and emery boards. What a great idea!

Bibs and Burp Cloths (www.bibsandburpcloths.com) offers a variety of really adorable and personalized bibs and blankies. You can even pick fabrics and make your own!  Great idea for a baby shower.

So all of you mothers that own companies out there, keep the links, ideas, and suggestions coming! I love reading about your work, and I just may write about it in the future.
