Aeromed International Critical Care Air Ambulance received accreditation from the Commission on Accreditation of Medical Transport Services recently. CAMTS is a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the quality and safety of medical transport services. This represents the highest standards possible for an air ambulance service and Aeromed became one of only 112 accredited services worldwide to receive the honor.

The accreditation process places priority on quality patient care and safety of the transport environment through an extensive and in-depth review by the commission. In order to receive the accreditation, an air ambulance program must be in substantial compliance with the CAMTS Accreditation Standards and demonstrate overall quality service.

"We are proud of the CAMTS accreditation and the recognition of our service," said Brooks Wall, Aeromed's director of operations.
