Donald A. Hale is the new vice president for public affairs of The University of Texas at Austin. Most recently, Hale served as chief public relations officer for Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, Pa.

Royster C. Hedgepeth was recently appointed vice president of philanthropy of The Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in Springfield, Mass. He previously served as vice chancellor for university advancement for the University of Massachusetts.

Rev. J. Bryan Hehir was appointed president and CEO of Catholic Charities USA based in Alexandria, Va. He was serving as chair of the executive committee for the Harvard Divinity School and as faculty member and a priest with the Archdiocese of Boston.

Stewart J. Hudson is the new foundation president of The Emily Hall Tremaine Foundation in Meriden, Conn. Hudson served as executive director for the Jane Goodall Institute prior to the hiring.

McGrath Jean Thomas was appointed vice president for management of Meridian International Center in Washington, D.C. Jean Thomas was with the National Council of Negro Women in Egypt prior to the hiring.

Vatsala Kapur Pathy was recently appointed program officer of the CDC Foundation in Atlanta. Kapur Pathy most recently served as research associate for the Georgia Health Policy Center.

Robert Keyes is the new vice president for administration of Catholic Charities USA in Alexandria, Va. He previously served as vice president of television sales and marketing for Reuters.

John L. Kirkwood was appointed chief executive officer of the American Lung Association in New York City. Kirkwood previously served as executive director of the American Lung Association of Metropolitan Chicago.

Linda W. LaMona was appointed president and chief executive officer of Easter Seals Eastern Pennsylvania, based in Allentown, Pa. Formerly, LaMona served as president and CEO for Goodwill Industries - Heart of Florida.

Kevin Locke is the new director of marketing and public relations of Deerfield Beach, Fla.-based Food For The Poor, Inc. Locke previously served in the marketing department for WGBH in Boston.

Joe McDaniel was appointed director of membership development of the American Society of Association Executives. He was serving as membership director for the Medical Group Management Association, based in Englewood, Calif.

Patricia Minaker was appointed national director of administrative services of Canine Companions For Independence in Santa Rosa, Calif. Previously, she served as senior accountant at a public accounting firm in Santa Rosa.

Paul Minorini is the new chief executive officer of St. Louis-based Boys Hope Girls Hope. Minorini was BHGH's director of organizational advancement prior to the promotion.

Kathleen B. Schrader was appointed director of financial and estate planning of the Greater Milwaukee Foundation in Milwaukee, Wisc. Schrader most recently served with the firm Von Briesen, Purtell & Roper, also in Milwaukee.
