QA I am interested in researching more about your top 10 city picks for African Americans to live--specifically Philadelphia, Atlanta, and Charlotte. Where do you suggest I start?

Whether you're interested in just visiting or setting down roots, all the cities

you've mentioned have "welcome" packages already waiting for you online, and that's a good place to start.

At www.ACCESSATLANTA .com, hosted by the Atlanta Chamber of Commerce, you'll find invaluable research on housing, jobs, and the quality of life in Atlanta. The site also has a link to the Georgia Black Chamber of Commerce, which lists, restaurants, employment, and other services of special interest to blacks. A site maintained by the Atlanta Conventions and Visitors Bureau, www.ATLANTA.com has everything you need to know about coming to Atlanta.

The City of Brotherly Love's Convention and Visitor's Bureau Web page, www.pcvb.org, offers a photo gallery of the city and a downloadable Why Philadelphia video. Philadelphia also has an African American Chamber of Commerce at www.AACCOP.org.

Www.charlottecvb.org offers information on area schools and universities. Also listed is information on climate, transportation, and demographics. There's even an online photo tour. Charlotte has an INFO resources hotline (800-231-4636) from which you can have maps, brochures, and friendly advice sent your way.
