More time for the same crime?

I was sorely disappointed with "Wall Street Rogues" [August 2004]. It was irresponsible to dismiss Orlando Joseph Jett's claim of racism and different standards of law in sentencing for black and white white-collar criminals.

Be should have taken an investigative look at the sentencing history

of black and white white-collar criminals in this country, you did not bother to investigate whether there are overwhelming discrepancies in the sentences of white men who steal and black men who steal. Need I mention the sentencing of two former Enron employees, who are serving a combined sentence of less titan seven years?

Shame on you for taking the easy way.
