A new private university in Abu Dhabi is set to become the first in the United Arab Emirates to offer a bachelor of science degree in industrial engineering.

According to Saghir, plans are already in place to guarantee that students who graduate with a degree from Alhosn have their education recognized throughout the world, particularly in the United States and Canada.

"The first of these steps will be applying for ABET accreditation from the USA," he said in an interview with Middle East Online.

The industrial engineering program will include studies in management, marketing, and economics. The first enrollments in the program will be accepted this month. As many as 300 students will be admitted initially.
