Working with DK Publishing, EDC-Osborne Books and Candlewick Publishing, members of the Associated General Contractors of Virginia recently donated approximately $1,000 worth of children's books to the Minnick Education Center, a school for children with behavioral problems, and the Salvation

Army's "The Turning Point," a battered women's shelter in the Roanoke area.

Sam Lionberger, Jr., Lionberger Construction, Roanoke, and Sandy Derr, Faulconer Construction, Charlottesville, presented the books on behalf of the association.
