Those unemployed to get free tickets for their family
SAN FRANCISCO -- With unemployment in California over 11 percent, CIRCUS VARGAS, America's Favorite Big Top Circus, is doing its part to help those hit hardest by the economic downturn and will allow those who are unemployed to bring their families at no charge to any of the locations where Circus Vargas will be performing in the San Francisco Bay area now through August 3 and in the Los Angeles area throughout the fall.
"The economy has hurt so many people lately and has affected our business as well," said Nelson Quiroga, President of Tabares Entertainment which operates Circus Vargas. "As a family show, we are very sensitive to the economic situation and how it affects the local communities. We know that many people can't afford to take their families for entertainment like Circus Vargas so we want to help them when they need help the most."
Free tickets can be received on the day of the show from the Circus Vargas Box Office. To receive the tickets, patrons should bring their layoff notice from their job or a stub from their unemployment check to demonstrate that they are unemployed. Each person will receive four general admission tickets.
Circus Vargas is now in the San Francisco Bay Area, as it celebrates its 40th Anniversary! Tabares Entertainment is presenting an entirely new production for 2009 -stressing FUN family entertainment, starring performers from all over the world, working together under a beautiful striped Big Top in a spectacular extravaganza!
"Circus Vargas has presented more shows in California over the last 40 years than any other touring family show and this is one way we can give back to the people of California who have allowed us to prosper," said Quiroga.
Circus Vargas will be performing at the Great Mall in Milpitas, July 2-6, Westfield Oakridge Mall in San Jose July 9-13, Eastridge Mall in San Jose July 16-20, Hilltop Mall in Richmond July 23-27, and Newpark Mall in Newark July 30-August 3. Following its Bay Area tour, Circus Vargas will continue in the Los Angeles area in the fall.
