Though your [Leo Haber's] note graciously and quite rightly acknowledges the work of Rabbi Gil Rosenthal in conceiving and editing the symposium on "A Sacred Obligation" (Midstream, January 2003), the decision was obviously yours, so you must accept your share of the kudos. I have been reading (and occasionally sending in letters to) Midstream for nearly three decades now, and while there have been other symposia on Jewish-Christian topics, I believe this one to be the best and most important in all that time.
