South Park

Distributed by Catherine Compte for Comedy Central (jointly owned by Viacom and Time-Warner), the cabler's top-rated series is an outrageous half-hour adult-oriented animated visit with a group of foul-mouthed third-graders in the world's UFO-sighting capital, South Park, Colo. Characters include: an untalented ventriloquist teacher whose psychotic hand puppet "Mr. Hat" has a mind of his own; a black chef with interests in UFOs, raunchy blues and white women; eight-year-old Kenny, who dies in every episode; Cartman the fat kid who is badly spoiled by his mother; and Kyle, who gets kidded for being Jewish but doesn't understand what that means.



The Crow: Stairway to Heaven

This new high-action drama hour picks up the film's storyline of a brilliant young musician whose lover dies and then comes back to aid him as his guardian angel. Distributed by PolyGram Sales International (Stand H4-10).



Ally McBeal

This unique comedy-drama hour from multiple award-winner David E. Kelley combines a romantic love triangle, tense lawyer drama and visual depiction of Ally's secret thoughts and fantasies. It stars Golden Globe winner Calista Flockhart and is distributed by Twentieth Century Fox International TV (Stand E3-10).
