British director Peter Chelsom is set to helm the Warren Beatty vehicle "Town and Country" for New Line Cinema.
The screenplay is about a man, frustrated with his marriage, who goes on a journey to discover other women in other places, only to realize that he really
wants his wife.
Simon Fields, Sidney Kimmel, Andy Karsch and Fred Roos are producing, and Donna Langley is the New Line executive supervising the project for the studio. Michael Laughlin penned the screenplay.
Chelsom, who is represented by William Morris Agency's John Burnham, Carol Yumkas and Ramses IsHak, helmed Miramax's "The Mighty." The adaption of Rodman Philbrick's novel stars Sharon Stone, Harry Dean Stanton, Gena Rowlands and Kieran Culkin. He also wrote and directed the 1995 comedy "Funny Bones," starring Oliver Platt and Jerry Lewis.
