Marc Platt is producing "Life" via his Universal-based banner Marc Platt Prods. Eric Gitter
also is producing.
"Life" tells the story of a young slacker who meets the woman of his dreams but finds that he can win her only by first battling and defeating her seven evil ex-boyfriends. The project is based on the graphic novel "Scott Pilgrim Volume 1: Scott Pilgrim's Precious Little Life," written by Bryan Lee O'Malley.
The project is out to writers.
Marc Platt Prods. creative executives Adam Siegel and Jared Leboff identified and brought the material into the company.
Universal vice chairman of worldwide production Scott Stuber and production executive Jeff Kirschenbaum will oversee the project for the studio.
Wright also is known for directing British TV's "Spaced." He recently directed a music video for Charlotte Hatherley's "Bastardo," which is styled as an homage to classic British girls' magazines.
Wright is repped by CAA and ICM London.
