"The Young & the Restless" actress Lauralee Bell has been tapped to star in "Past Sins," a TV movie set to air June 5 on Lifetime.

Bell will portray Donna Erickson, a media-loving attorney defending a former suspected '60s radical who may or may not have been framed for murder by a big-business interest.

"Sins" went into production this week. Michael D. Jacobs and Fernando Szew are executive producing, while Cheryl-Lee Fast of Fast Prods. is producing. David Winning is directing from a script by Don Nelson.

MarVista Entertainment will distribute the movie worldwide, excluding North America and the Pacific Rim.

Bell is best known for her role as attorney Christine Blair on the CBS daytime drama "Young and the Restless." The role has earned her a Soap Opera Digest Award for outstanding supporting actress.

Her other credits include the film "Carpool Guy" and guest-starring roles on series like CBS' "Walker, Texas Ranger." She also has hosted specials for E! Entertainment Television and Pax and was the subject of an installment of Lifetime's "Intimate Portrait."

Bell is repped by Marv Dauer of Marv Dauer Management and Acme Talent and Literary.
