Writer-producer Krista Vernoff has inked a two-year, seven- figure over- all deal with Touchstone Television.
Vernoff, a supervising producer on ABC/Touchstone's hot midseason drama "Grey's Anatomy," has had a successful first development season this year. Her first
pilot script, the lighthearted one-hour "Introducing Lennie Rose," which she penned for Touchstone TV, was ordered as a cast-contingent pilot by ABC. The pilot, starring Abigail Spencer and directed by Ken Olin, was made and is now contention for fall.
Depending on the fate of "Lennie Rose," under her overall deal with Touchstone Vernoff will work on it if it gets picked up to series or will be upped to a co-executive producer on "Grey's Anatomy," whose return for a second season is considered a slam-dunk.
Vernoff is repped by CAA and attorney Jamie Mandelbaum.
