West Coast Ent. Sets Liquidation
Beleaguered Philadelphia-based video chain West Coast Entertainment Corp. has filed for Chapter 7 liquidation after failing to complete a merger with smaller rival Video City Inc.
West Coast has sold more than half of its 300 stores in states including New Jersey, Pennsylvania,
New York, Indiana, Kentucky, Louisiana and Texas.
The company said in filings with a Delaware bankruptcy court that those sales raised $12 million but could not prevent the liquidation of the company.
